June 18, 2021, a few days before the start of summer. That is the date chosen by Netflix to premiere the fourth season of Elite, one of its most successful Spanish phenomena. With its crimes and romantic or family dramas, with its unprejudiced approach to HIV or polyamory, the Carlos Montero and Darío Madrona series has conquered international audiences with its first three installments.
In its new episodes, Elite loses some of its best characters, such as Carla (Ester Expósito) or Lu (Danna Paola), but that does not mean that it does not yet have protagonists with the potential to give continuity to new mysteries in Las Encinas. And, by the way, keep loyalty to your followers.
We still have Guzmán (Miguel Bernardeau), Rebeka (Claudia Salas), Samuel (Itzan Escamilla), Omar (Omar Ayuso), Cayetana (Georgina Amorós) and Ander (Arón Piper) in the most posh high school corridors on TV. They are joined by new signings such as Manu Ríos, Carla Díaz, Martina Cariddi and Pol Granch, with Eduardo Chapero-Jackson and Ginesta Guindal in the director’s chair.
Netflix, in addition to announcing the release date of the new episodes, has released the first images of the fourth installment and a video with the veteran students accompanied by the new ones:
As Netflix has reported, the new installment arrives loaded with news. To begin with, we have a new director (Diego Martín), one of the most powerful businessmen in Europe willing to redirect the school. With him, his children (Carla Díaz, Martina Cariddi, Manu Ríos) land, three teenagers too used to always having their way and who will endanger the friendship of the most veteran students.
The synopsis reads: “Again a clash of factions, now between the old world (students and standards provided) and the new (the new management and new partners, among which is also Pol ranch). A clash that will end up exploding and causing a tragedy, with a victim and a person responsible whose identity they must discover.
Let us remember that the series has already confirmed its fifth season, a season that will have two additions: the Argentine actress Valentina Zenere (Soy Luna, Las chicas del cable) and the Brazilian actor André Lamoglia (Juacas).
The fourth season of Elite premieres on Netflix on June 18.
